ABOUT COURSE -

The Programme has been designed to develop an overview of business information technology, including strategic planning, web based systems, quality issues networking and software developments.

INTAKE CAPACITY-

1 Division (60 student) 

The student will develop crucial skills for supporting the growth and competitiveness of modern business. Communication and internet technologies have opened opportunities for a new breed of professionals at various levels in an organization.

FEATURES-

Highly practical- integration of theory and skills into practical applications in business. The course focuses on systematic and professional approach to developing IT Systems. Imparts knowledge of advanced IT Applications, useful in various sectors.

PROGRAMME CONTENT

B.Sc. in Information Technology is a three year full time course covering 39 plus Subjects spread over in Six Semesters. In third year students choose special elective subjects.

FUTURE PROSPECTS-

After completion of the course, the Bsc IT Graduate can map the opportunities that lie in Various Sectors.
After Completion of the course a student may also pursue a Masters Degree related to their area of interest.

ELIGIBILITY-

A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology shall have passed HSC (XII std) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with Mathematics and Statistics as one of the subjects and should have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate for open category and 40% marks in aggregate in case of reserved category students. 

Candidates who have passed Diploma (Three Years after SSC/Xth Standard) in Information Technology, Computer Technology/Computer Engineering/ Computer Science/Electrical, Electronics and Video Engineering and allied branches/Mechanical Engineering and allied branches/civil and Allied branches are eligible for direct admission to the Second year of the B.Sc. IT degree course. However the Diploma should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government Body. Minimum marks required 45% aggregate for open category candidates and 40% aggregate for reserved category candidates. 

OR

Candidates with post HSC diploma in Information Technology/Computer Technology/Computer Engineering/Computer Science and Allied branches will be eligible for direct admission to Second year of B.Sc.-IT. However the Diploma should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government Body. Minimum marks required 45% aggregate for open category candidates and 40% aggregate for reserved category candidates.

Admission will be on merit, based on order of preference as follows:

 

       1.  Marks in Mathematics and Statistics at HSC or equivalent examination.

      2.  Aggregate marks at HSC or equivalent examination.

      3.  Aggregate marks at SSC or equivalent examination.

Programme Outcome  This degree is primarily focused on subjects such as software, databases, and networking, computer science degrees tend to focus on the mathematical and theoretical foundations of computing rather than emphasizing specific technologies.
Programme Specific Outcome To help students to gain knowledge on various in the field of software development, software testing, software engineering, web design, databases, programming, computer networking and systems, embedded systems.
